Machine standard deck intake to fit short deck

.500 short deck with Brad alcohol 5's, D-rotor. Can I machine a standard Keith Black magnesium 10 bolt intake to fit properly. Or would I be better served to get a new intake? Not trying to set the world on fire but hate to "cobble" something just to save a grand.

 

take it from experience, as soon as you shake the tires with a psi and a mag manifold it will break. especially if you grind on it and make it thinner. just my .02 cents.

 

Ok, thanks for the insight, as I have not run a PSI previously but have been through tire shake, door car. Is there a preferred intake to look at? Thanks
