anyone know what valve weight becomes a problem after 10,000 rpms. Is the valve with the slight dish worth the cc loss in the chamber ? Who makes the best valves right now. Victory is having enough problems that most pro teams have gone to Manley. Are coated valves worth the extra money?

The trade off becomes how much heat the valve can take before it tulips. A lighter valve is much easier to control 10,000 rpm plus. As you keep making lighter valves, eventually you will find a point where it can get hot enough to tulip.

I have been very pleased with the Manley valves with my customers.

We have had no trouble running 10,500 with a solid stem, flat face 2.500" intake valve using the Manley 221461 double spring.
Also, we switched all our valves to Manley a couple years ago, and haven't been sorry.
