Technically that is a "Coil Near Plug" (CNP) setup. "Coil On Plug" (COP) would be coil right on the plug with no wire in between.

If you make the switch, make sure you work with a vendor/installer who really knows their stuff as there are a whole bunch of little details to get right otherwise it won't work well.

Yes coil near plug is what we are thinking of going to, by the looks of things need to talk with Snyder about it.

I use them and love them. Using the Holley Smart Coils. Never used a mag but have no problem burning methanol at 3.5:1 @ 36 psi boost.

Bill Lutz car was set up by Carl Stevens as well as many others. The coils need to be wired a certain way. Carl has helped Haltech revamp there wiring as well as BS3 and a few others. He also has the quickest and fastest blown alcohol Coil on plug car in the world, fastest door car in the world uses COP 3.56 @ 230.10 MPH!!!

If anyone is looking to go COP I'd email Carl@XtremeRaceCars.com

He set up my COP BS3 and it's been perfect ever since however it wouldn't work correctly until he really wired and configured.
