What is the minimum required length between the engine plate and rear end centre line for easy removal/install of a 3 speed CS1 with 8 5/8" can.

Back of motorplate to axle Centerline with 9 - 9.5" Ford =47"
Must use what Lenco lists as "Meyer Output shaft".

Do you know the length of that type of output shaft. The one I have in the main gearbox now is 7 3/8" long from the end of both splines not including the spigot. The one in the spare box is the extra long shaft which I was going to trim to the same length.

Bad info........sorry, should be 46" back of motor plate to axle centerline. Output shaft must have 3.5" full spline (not counting radius) tips of radius ending at seal. Remember, if you go to a ten inch gear set, the pinion is longer.
