Are any of you guys running a slipper clutch, in a blown alcohol combination? When i built the car i had aspirations of using a pedal clutch, but I got advice from some pretty good sources to use a slipper. I have pros and cons in my head but just wanted to hear a little from the guys that are running them before i decide.
    Thank you,
    Jody

With the slipper or glide clutch you leave at a high idle and swap feet. Good for nitro cars.To me the pedal clutch is for alcohol. Leave at several thou rpm or a 2 step.

If your terminology refers a "slipper" to a "glide" type clutch, then maybe you can get some answers. Anything can slip, pedal or glide.
Goal is to get boost up with your blown combo with lots of RPM, so unless I'm misinterpreting your question, a "glide" type clutch (not Powerglide trans) does not like RPM to launch, so your good advise is not understandable. I'm old, only slipper I remember is in Snow White!

When I was looking for clutches this same issue came up. To use a glide clutch or not. And the same answer kept coming, "on an alcohol car you need pump speed (engine rpm) so a glide clutch is not the answer. You will burn discs up. I ended up going to a crower pro sportsman triple disc pedal clutch.
