    Hi Guys,
    Question:
Are KB Stage 6 water blocks TRUE water blocks, where a water pump can be mounted and water can cool the cylinders, etc?

    Thanks ITA.

Hi, I spoke with Ken Black about this a little while back as I intended to built a pro street vehicle. Those stage 6 and 8 blocks will hold coolant long enough for a 1/4 mile pass but if you try to run them on the street the coolant will seep around the o-rings on the sleeves and leak. They make a KB street block that holds power but will not leak as per Ken Black. I think I saw one used one up for sale in the last decade and I have a friend who will be running one soon in a pro street application so they are near impossible to get used.

    Hope that helps,
    Trevor Sherwood

the wet block started from the kalittas...they wanted to have as much material removed as possible to make it lighter..

I run that kb Street block with oil galleys, 875 lift cam,and red zone lifters. Did grind an oiling groove from trough to oil hole for roller.lifter is ford.
Over 400 street miles with no issues.
Use a remote water pump and a few tricks in the plumbing. Works great.

We have been running a street KB block for four years and it is doing great. The sleves are installed dry and are pretty tight to get in so you should plan to have the sleeves honed installed in the block.
