We have a grid with a lahey tdc indicator box sending the timing data to a rpm data logger.Does anybody know what settings affect the output signal for timing? It shows total timing but it never captures the timing as it retards through the run. Thanks.

Sorry but I am nut sure that I understand you question. Are you asking about viewing the recorded timing data during the run on the GRID or the Leahy timing data on the RPM Data Logger?

    Timing

The grid timing recording is fine. The leahy tdc timing indicator on the data logger is the problem. It worked fine with 8973. Leahy told me there is a grid setting that will make it function.it uses the gray tach wire from the msd box for rpm signal.for the 8973 it says tach trigger setting must be set to tach timing.i don't see that option on the grid.

    Sync

The grid item I'm looking at is tach output sync. Could that effect the gray wire output to make the data logger happy?

On the 7730 go to SETTINGS then select GENERAL and you will see Tach Output Sync then select Ignition Timing
