Can the separate Lenco buttons be used to shift a B&J trans? Also can the plastic tubing hold up to the 400-450 lbs. of pressure to shift a B&J?

You can use the buttons.... But there are several different types of plastic lines. I use the Nycoil brand, it's clear/white and is good to 1000#. Do your homework and look on the web. There are also different grades of push lock fittings as well. Hope this helps

Weighs more but I use -3 pre made NOS high pressure braided lines and AN type fittings on the B and J buttons.

If I remember correctly, the Lenco buttons aren't recommended for the B&J because it uses 450 psi versus the 250 psi for the Lenco. I purchased better line for my shifter from a company that supplies heavy equipment parts. The tubing I got was Polyon PT24004NA from Emrick & Hill in Denver. I don't have a piece in front of me but I believe the service pressure is 600 psi and it is more flexible than the standard black stuff.

I used the black plastic lines purchased in a roll from Bob Brooks at AFT to shift my B&J's. Part of my annual maintenance was to switch out the lines. Never broke one, but they do not like fire. My regulator was set at 380#.
