haven't had a issue yet but know it's coming and like to be pepared for it;;;last time out pulled plugs and crew member cross thearded plug..was able to just use a theard cleaner and saved it but I know there may be a time will need to tim-sert a hole in head to be able to stay at track;;;was looking at RBS and Robbin sells the serts and also the tool kit to put them in at track;;low budget so was looking on e-bay and finding same looking kits from $24.00 up to $400+ RBS wants $135.00 for theres..should I just pay this price or are there any kits out there that you have used but less expensive and still gets job done?

Hot rod whatever kit you buy make sure it has the key components, exact size drill bit, the correct tap,the inserting tool, the insert itself. If you do this with the head on the motor, crank it around till that cylinder exhaust valve is open and use grease on the drill bit and tap, this helps to contain shavings.DAVE

What will this do to heat signatures on the plugs? Will they read hotter, cooler, same?
