On a Bae block and set of 8x heads I'm looking at using a straight mag drive and plan on gutting the inside of the drive and installing a cam sensor inside it. Will the straight drive work with fatheads? I have to drive the oil pump anyways so I'd like to use a nice heavy duty drive for what I'm doing. I'd rather not use an offset drive if I don't need to.
I'm thinking the mag is what hits the head so that is why an offset is needed, but there will only be a cover on the drive when I'm done. Hopefully someone here understands what I'm trying to accomplish and help me out.

This is what I'm looking at.

Yes, that will work for you, you are right Its the mag that hits the head not the magbase !

This may not help but Leahy now has a cam sync for a mag drive.

That all depends if you are a door car with a front or an open car. The straight drive is a problem with a door car or FC because it sticks up too high. A dragster will have no problem
