What are the recommendations for chevy cam shaft bolts or studs when using a pioneer/archer front mag drive?
If using ARP bolts, do you use the ARP lube, locktite them in or do something else?

Blue LocTite here also and then torque. Only time I have had failure is when the LocTite was forgotten! JW

    torque

is there such a thing as a torque box end wrench, so you can get behind the mag drive gear on the front of the cam?

None that I'm aware of, I use socket cap screws (aka, allen head) and cut a L wrench shorter so it fits behind the front mag drive gear. I don't torque them, just tighten with blue threadlocker and use the longest bolt I can get to fit.

    cam bolts

I have used a half inch wrench on my torque wrench before. the last time i had a cam break loose was in 1998, multi ply 18 yrs, times the number of trips down the track by 3 or 4 motors each trip. BUT I DO NOT WANT IT TO HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!!!
I have been using socket head cap screws or studs. I ordered ARP cam screws for this time. I will have to turn the shoulder down, and they use a 12 point wrench so i can not get a socket on them.

If you are able to pull that adapter at an angle of 90* you don't need to refigure the torque setting.

Yep, that should work just fine.

Hey Richard, are you sure your crank is not broke, causing things to come loose? or the clutch is out of balance, detonation signs, etc?
