A racer was testing valve springs in a compressed mode for change, over time. What happened to the test? What were the results?

None of the springs changed dramatically, one at 800 was at about 785, none of the ones at 400 changed more than 5. These changes were probably within the margin of error of our test. They were PAC #1355 and had a lot of use. This certainly doesn't prove anything but does probably say that at least nothing really bad will happen. I suspect that new springs might show more change as it isn't uncommon to see one or two drop off pretty quick, also ours were only compressed to 800 and on many engines it is a lot higher.

Thanks for your effort..... It would be really interesting to hear what a Peterson (PAC) Spring engineer would say to this.
