interchanging spools and axles? true or false?

I was always told that Strange / Moser / MW are NON Interchangeable ... Is this true? I have never tried.. wondering about strange axles working in a Moser spool?

 

i may be wrong but i think the 40 spline axles are all the same
everything thing else is not between mfgr's

 

I believe MW has different pitch, you can use certain axles in a MW spool, but not the other around. I went through this on my Strange floater deal, but dont remember the particulars

 

I have used a strange center section with Mark Williams floater axles for 8 years with no problems. 40 spline stuff is interchangeable 35 spline is not.

It will be fine. Mark Williams will tell you the same thing.
