Is there anything out there other than Jetsize that will give you a calculated main jet?

    Thanks,

Gary, I just found out about this one from a friend a couple of weeks ago. I have not used it so I can't recommend it but you can download a demo copy. Go up on http://alkypro.com and take a look. If anyone else has tried this I would be very interested in getting your thoughts on it.

I have been working with it the past few races and it works great. You can calculate the jet in "conventional" mode which will give you a calculation very close to Jetsize or you can use the "methanol" method which is based on Patrick Hale's research on basing the jet on the air temp inside the hat. It also lets you input your fuel temperature to correct the flow based on the specific gravity.

I used it on Dee Kruse's Top Dragster the last two races and we were very, very consistent.

It works with windows 8 so you can run it on a tablet that runs on that platform.

Thanks Will, maybe I need to try it but I am really consistent with Jetsize. My plugs are always where I want them but always willing to try something new. Do we know who the mastermind behind it is?

I've used both and have to say, the new Alky Pro software is (in my opinion) a much better program. They both do the same thing at the end of the day, but AP has some other inputs that should make fine tuning markedly easier. Worth mentioning on AP is that when you remove the cursor from the fuel system input screen, the screen covers in a screen saver format. The aforementioned is perfect if someone comes into the trailer and you would like to cover up your data, far less of a move than minimizing it right in front of them.

    Trial

They have a 15 day free download license so you can try it out, then buy it if you like it. You buy a yearly license. There is a Pro and Lite version as well.

A legitimate alternative to Jetsize? This looks very interesting! Thanks for bringing this up, I had no idea AlkyPro existed. I will be giving this a test at my next event...

    nitrotuner

I have nitrotuner 2.1 (not latest) but I have not really got a chance to use is or really even learn what all it does. Patrick helped me get my inputs into it but that's about as far as I have gotten. From what I can tell it will help me set up a fuel system kind of like what I paid for once but without flowing my parts.

Question: will nitrotuner give the same pill recommendation based on weather conditions like the Alkypro or jetsize?

    thanks ITA

    Alkypro Website

I tried logging onto their website without success, I have to say after reading threads on this I was very dis-appointed, maybe they are having website issues.

I tried the demo version. it ok. i just don't get that you have to input your boost psi? How would i know my psi before a run is made when making a new setup? wouldn't it be more useful if it asked for OD and blower size? Or am i missing some here? I tried inputing my current setup and it really clsoe on the main pill.
