This guy calls me up and talks to me about buying my whole operation for 2-3 weeks, he tells me he is going to schedule a flight, so I bust hump to get the car together and the rig cleaned up. I don't hear from him again save a generic text he sent me a few times before "Sorry busy call back later" then he never answered again.

Just a heads up if he contacts you, I bought some parts to finish the deal and put a lot of late nights in to make it work all for nothing.

They're out there. I had a guy do the same thing to me just before I quit racing. He would call me every week and wanted it all, and had a new story every week about why he couldn't send a deposit and why he couldn't make it out that week to see it or pick it up. I finally gave him a drop dead date and dumped him.

His number is up top, Googled it right after he called and got nothing. The stupid part is he offered to send a deposit but was going to be flying out in less than a week so I just told him not to worry about it and I I would just wait on buying the last 2 or 3 big money items until he looked over the car and gave me a deposit then.

I have wanted deals really bad before and I have told people what is really going on like I am waiting on a potential buyer so no one hopefully gets the wrong idea but I have never told someone I will be flying out in a week and then just stopped answering the phone...Why do people waste there time and yours, you would think there are better things to do with time.

Worst thing is I just got used to the idea that I will be firing this thing after 18 years of building in about a month and driving it by Oct, then this guy gets the thought of going pro mod racing in my head...lol

    Best wishes to all,
    Trev

It's everywhere. If 2% of the people that raved about photos and said "I will definitely be ordering some of those" actually followed through, I'd be a rich man.

Dave, truer words were never spoken. I have over 330.000 dollars in quotes just waiting for a deposit. As always, talk is cheap!!

I live in Utah. It's a small world in terms of the drag racing community. I've never heard of him.

I hate these types of people. Good luck, and just finish that damn car Trevor.

    Hey Cody,

Going together as we speak. I just put the short block in today and got the one head on it. Come tomorrow the rockers and valve cover can go on that side and then when the other head comes back from the shop its just a matter of flowing the fuel system at Rage where my intake and fuel system currently sit the engine will be together. The new carbon body is under construction at the moment as well.

With the current setup I think it will run high 3.60s to low 3.70s. With a lighter convertor and the new motor it will go much quicker.

    Thanks,
    Trev
