    Guys,

We are new to a solid block and solid head combo. What temperature and where do you pull your temperature from on this combo. Blown alcohol setup.

    Thanks in advance.

    Head Temp

When I ran that combo I took the temp from the cylinder head. Last year deleted gauge on new 481x combo proved useless info.

Does the motor not build up enough heat to worry about it?

Also, how where you cooling the motor between rounds?

The alcohol cools the motor so as long as you don't run it too lean, you won't have cooling issues. In fact, if you are too rich, the engine will get cooler as you are running down the track. Run head temps into the RacePak to monitor and are usually around 200 degrees at launch and going down the track. That is on a very safe tune-up.
