Advantage dual plug Head?

    Is there an advantage of running dual plugs in Top Alcohol? I have walked through the pits and very few people are running them. The physics would say that if you could pump more fuel and air into a cylinder, that you could make more power.

    Or does having less parts to fail (half the valves,mags..) outweigh the horsepower advantage?

    Or maybe is there no horsepower advantage at all?

    Unnecessary with the new more powerful mags.

    Unnecessary weight and wire bullsh1t.

    has anyone tried 2 44's on an alky car? iif not why

    johnny gray did on his ta/fc 3 to 4 years ago when he was running in top alcohol,he said it worked fine,but, you have to look at all that extra weight. nobody does it today that I know of.

    when running the two 44's he must have only been running 18 or 20 degrees of timing or even less?

    HEY 503,
    THE DUAL VS SINGLE MAG THING. MANY TEAMS HAVE TRIED THE DUAL MAG PROGRAM AT A LARGE EXPENSE AND ALL THAT I KNOW OF HAVE GONE BACK TO THE SINGLE, AT LEAST WITH ALC. THE ADVANTAGE IS YOU CAN RUN LESS SPARK LEAD WITH THE 2 MAGS WHICH REDUCES THE NEGATIVE PRESSURE ON THE CRANK AND INCREASES POWER SOME, BUT THE POWER IT TAKES TO DRIVE THE SYSTEM NOT TO MENTION THE EXPENSE, EXTRA WIRES CAPS SUPPORTS ETC, OUTWEIGH THE ADVANTAGES. STICK WITH THE SINGLE MAG WITH ALCOHOL
