I have a blown 540 setup on 2000 hp with glide 1.80 and a 4.30 rear gear weight is 2475 and I have C07 Hoosier 33.5 17 16 rear tires I had some issues last time out with fresh motor had some tire shake my rear tires are about a year old so I considering buying a new set but I'm hung up on which one to put on my car.. I been looking at the goodyear but have done several searches can't really make up my mind if I need to go back with the Hoosier are try something different, after the shake last time out I wanna try something different if I could find a tire more forgiving on a marginal track

    Hoosier all the way

I would maybe look into something other than tires. I have similar engine in both ts and td. No shake ever since changing to Hoosier 3 years ago. Lots of shake before that. 2 div championships in same time period. Last set at end of last year with over 100 passes on them. 1.00 60's. Got to finals. Look at the tire of choice in pro mod.

Yeah I'm gonna make some changes on my blower probably turn it down a tad bit till the stripes wear some then will turn it up some later this year but was just wondering what the tire of choice was for comb like mine but you answered that... if someone had any better luck with a different tire

I have to agree with Casey, we had lots of bad shake issues in 2013, switched to the Hoosier 17/34.5-16 in our Procharged TD and have had great luck with them.
Granted, we changed a few other things also, but the Hoosiers go straight down the track now. I just ordered a new set yesterday and wouldn't change a thing.

    It's actually listed as C2055.

There are 2 different tires in that same size, they are PN 18780 17-34.5-16 and PN 18790 34.5/17-16
    We are running the 18780

See I been running the 33.5 17 16.. I been kinda iffy about stepping up to the 34.5 no knowing how much more stress it would put on my input shaft of my powerglide having that bigger tire????

I think you would like the 17-34.5. Ask for the shortest 'chalk mark' set you can get and the roll out difference may not be as much.

Going back to the original tire shake problem - all tune-up issues aside, have you checked your air gauge against someone else's to see if it is off?

No sir I haven't... that is a good idea though because it's a digital gauge and I'm sure they can screw up... Thanks Will

    Tires

What own block stated is very important. The Hoosier 34.5*17*16 c0255 is what I would suggest, the nice thing is these are common for alcohol cars so if you ever need a used set in a pinch they are available.

Tubeless liner deals, just make sure you get wheels that are actually made to run tubeless as many vendors will say oh yeah it will work and they will leak like you wouldn't believe.

Originally American racing had the first real tubeless liner deals in the Trakstar but they are custom order with a 6 weak wait time, I have a pair on my dragster and they never leaked over a period of years! Now I am certain Weld is doing them as well.

    Best wishes,
