What about the video of oil pumps bill miller did showing how much better pumps have gotten
I hope we can all share some things to help each other out to improve our own programs. Maybe you found somsthing on the dyno or was given help from a manufacture to help things out.
Was just trying a topic to get a lot of fun feed back and get everyone involved

    info

We are mostly focusing on chassis stuff this winter but found a few cool items so far..

You can buy titanium on ebay with slight damage dirt cheap. I bought enough to do the entire firewall of a promod for 138.00 shipped.
Bryant will mag and polish their cranks for free. We question the average shops ability to properly mag a crank.
If the input shaft seal rings on a Bruno get worn the units pressure goes away like the pump is tired. I found a Teflon ring that seals a LOT better.

    What seller?

    Overlill,
Which seller on ebay did you find the sheet?
    That's a good price.

I purchased some titanium tubing on ebay from "tigermetals" for a steering column that I am building, very reasonable prices.

    Great thread!!

What about those carbon driveshafts. Those worth the money. Did anyone see a real pick up. Or they fragile. Mike canter? I know you have one in every car. Any input?

Haven't broken one yet. Had one in our roots pm and have one in the PX. The most common ones used are built by PST. The carbon fiber driveshaft is a big reduction in both weight and more important rotating mass

What would be the recomended diameter size of a carbon driveshaft that would probably be about 46 inches long behind a powerglide of a top sportsman car running 6.80s or so?

The best thing to do is to call PST and let them tell you. Ours we have for sale is a 3.75" diameter

    Havent welded Ti yet

Al of my parts are either bolt on (column) or slide in (brake fulcrum). I'll be grabbing an old sandblasting cabinet when I get to the welding part, looking forward to it.

    Wielding Titanium

Titanium can be wielded with a gas lens, a piece of copper.
Jeff Bohr can give U better details, he's busy but not to busy to talk to racers.
