There has to be someone that has used these wheels on a blown pro mod.
I see lots being used on Nitrous cars but am wondering about them on a blown car.

My guess is if they'll stand the abuse of top fuel and funny car that our sissy lil 2500 hp engines should do no harm.

One of my friends has them on his promod. Look great but cost a fortune, if everything else on your car is first class and needs nothing , and you have removed all of the "cheap" weight , then they may be what you need. The lower un sprung weight may help but sometimes I've found that a heavier wheel keeps wheel speed up once you get it going off the line. Liner vs beadlock.

Yes what is the difference between the two. The liner wheel/tire combo is much heavier, but I am under the understanding much more forgiving?.

Interesting notes on this as I was just tossing around getting a set a couple of weeks ago.

I spoke with Jegs and got the shipping weight a few weeks back and my American Racing tubeless liners weighed 3 or 4 lbs less than the Weld Delta 1's but that was not including the liners.

I did however speak with Weld at last years PRI show in Florida and asked them about the two wheels, they told me they would weigh about the same.

The suggestions I got were: if you have a pro mod, pro stock, or heavy car run the Delta 1 bead locks. If you have a funny car, dragster, or altered run the Trak star tubeless liner deal, you will see them on Tony Bartone's fc that is for sale right now, Manzo also ran them I believe. If you look at every competitive pro stock car out there you will see all Delta 1's.

I personally would love to buy a set for testing purposes but I do know that tire shake is more brutal with a bead lock wheel.

    Hope it helps a little,

19.3 lbs for a pro mod Delta wheel 4 inch backspace, 5x5.5 bolt circle, 16x16, plus the tire, a 34.5 Hoosier is 42lbs and a Goodyear is 42.1 lbs for combined weights of 61.3 and 61.4 lbs.

anyone know what a liner/ wheel combo would be?.

Wish I had a scale that I could check my Trakstars with, I'll ask a friend if he has one

    Thanks,

    Weight

Unable to find a scale for the whole wheel/tire assy but I just weighed a spare liner and it is 13 lbs so even if my Trakstars are 3 or 4 lbs lighter than the delta 1 they will still be 9 or 10 lbs heavier than the beadlocks
