Midwest Super Quick Index Class

Heads up class on an index of 4.00 to 4.20 seconds on the 1/8th mile. (exact number to be determined) for any style race car (Front or rear engine dragsters, door cars, funny cars, altereds).

.400 Pro tree, no limit on cubic inch, blowers, or nitrous.

Any type transmission manual or automatic allowed.

Remote starters and tow vehicles are allowed.

No electronic throttle stops, ignition `stutter boxes, or delay boxes are permitted.

Throttle must be controlled by the drivers foot once the car leaves the line. (manually pre adjusted throttle stops permitted)

Two-steps, rev limiters, data recorders are legal

Entries must meet all IHRA rules and regulations, including drivers license requirements for advanced ET, safety rules for Top Dragster/Top Sportsman.

This is a new class that we will run this year on a limited schedule in 2015 at Eddyville Raceway Park. (2-4 races) We are working on some details for rules concerning certain electronics, race format (qualified field or Chicago style format) entry fees, payouts etc. This class will be great for older Top Alcohol Dragsters and Funny Cars, Fuel Altereds, & Pro Mods.

We will have a meeting at the PRI show on Thursday at the IHRA booth for those that will be there to discuss some of the details. Exact time will be announced before the show or contact Gerald prior to the show. At this time we have about 8 racers with cars that have expressed interest in the class. We also will be looking for some sponsors to support the class so if anyone has interest in that please contact Gerald also.

Blown Alcohol Thunder

We run a series here on the West Coast called Blown Alcohol Thunder. It is the same format, TONS of fun. We currently run on a Chicago Style format and pay for performance. It is a great place for cars that don't fit in elsewhere to go race.

 

one question on the index deal??? we can run 3.60's in the 1/8 so would I need to detune for this race??Dave

Yes looking forward to Indy, We will let you know when we have a PRI meeting time and day set.
So far we have talked to 9 racers interested in running with us!

 

I totally support this class!! I'm not sure if we (Nitro Madness AA/FA) fit very well but would give it try if we had an open weekend...nothing but good that I can see with multiple cars entering....blown alcohol....turbo....injected nitro....blown nitro...Pro-Mods....Altereds....Nostalgia and/or current Funny Cars....front and rear engine dragsters....lotsa real fast cars out there that will fit this one!!

Gerald & I have discussed this....it will attract a few spectators too...giving the track a little boost in gate without having to spend big $$ on advertising.... as these cars will attract spectators we can race in front of a crowd....kinda like it used to be before bracket racing...

Rocky Mountain Superchargers

2015 will be the sixth year that the Rocky Mountain Superchargers have used such a format. We have grown to entries from 11 states, events in 6 states, and two eliminators to accommodate all the entrants.
