Here's a question I haven't seen before. In my trailer generally I carry a drum strapped to the wall. takes up a lot of room and kind of a pain in the butt.

I have a 38 foot gooseneck trailer with the top compartment a total mess. so this offseason I am looking to clean things up a bit and make things a little more clean and manageable. so I have an idea to build or have built a storage tank I can mount on the top ledge of the trailer overhanging with a drain pipe overhanging the ledge. rather than always using a pump and what not. I get this idea from pickup truck tanks I see on the road that carry fuel in a transfer tank.

Has anyone done anything similar to this? any suggestions on what it should be made out of to keep the fuel in good condition and the tank last? any info I greatly appreciate

    fuel storage

I have seen several guys put a 100 gallon or larger plastic tank in the top of their trailer to store fuel in. They all have a line ran down the wall and a spout near the floor to fill jugs with at the pull. It takes a lot of fuel to run 5 hemi's over the weekend. Just make sure you have a good clean tank and have it grounded good.
