I have an MSD 44 mag and several of the standard caps and rotors. I also have several wider MSD rotor tips that I can put onto these caps. The 44 seems to come standard with a "pointed" tip about 1/8 wide, some of the other tips are around 1/4 wide and will fit on the 44 rotor.

Any advantage/disadvantage to running wider tip for all the timing retard and maps we put in the Grid?

    TIA

Only run the wide tip in a big cap. The small tip is for the small cap.

I wouldn't. To much of a chance of it firing on the wrong cylinder. Just convert to a big cap or stay with the small tip.
