ratio

Just wondering what gear ratio guys are running for 1/4 mile races in the pro mods? How much different are they from a screw blown car to a roots or turbo car? Looking for rear gear ratio and Trans ratio s 2 speed 3speed?? Anyone wanna share. thanks

 

34.5 tire. 4.11 rear. C Screw with three speed Lenco w/Bruno. 1.25 x 1.25 = 1.56 or 1.31 x 1.25 = 1.64 or 1.34 x 1.25 - 1.68 or 1.37 x 1.25 = 1.72. Ran 1.31 x 1.42 = 1.86 with a roots.

 

1/4 mile roots legal promod uses 4 56 gear normaly some use 4.30 and a 3 speed with anywhere from 2.10 to 1,80 low thats a clutch car which is normal in legal blown pm
turbo 1/4 mile car is 4.10/3.90 and 210 low with converter the converter is normal in legal 1/4 mile turbo cars
yes i know there are some converters in legal blown pm but they have not caught on like they have in screw blower applications

 

Im sure there are lots of different ratio combos didn't think anyone used 4. 10 gear but I guess those turbo guys got it figured out cause they sure haul ass in the back half.
