Call Marty at Chance racing converters, he can set you up on the trans fluid and if you are having heat issues with your Bruno call Grant at FFI, I was running 300 to 325 degrees on the converter per pass we are running 5.90 to 6.00 and between Marty and Grant I was able to drop the temp down to 155 to 165 per pass, and the oil pressue is a lot more stable. also we have run the same oil for over a year and its not burnt and still holding strong.

    Good luck

It is more important to care for the Bruno than the converter. If you use the wrong ATF in the Bruno/Converter you will burn up the transbrake band and drum. Not all sysnthetics will work in a Bruno because some contain friction modifiers which make it too slick for the band to hold. The best we have found for cool running and band life is the Redline LIGHTWEIGHT Racing ATF. Sorry but if you call Bruno he will tell you NOT to use synthetic but we researched and have had zero problems with the Redline. I know lots of teams that are using it.

Ok thanks we were thinking either the redline or the lat but sounds like the redline is the better way to go.

I use 20 weight Amsoil compressor oil in my Lenco drive. Works great.
