battery amp question

will a 5 amp hour battery hold a 20 amp load of a trans break solenoid for the few seconds you are using it before launch

yes it should, a decent 5AH battery should be able to provide 5 amps for 1 hour or 20amps for 15 mins assuming it is of decent quality and the wiring can handle that amount of current. Thats a hell of a big solenoid to suck that much juice !
