I have been remote starting with 2 giant group 31 batteries @ 24 volts but am switching from a side by side to a golf cart and would like to put the batteries under the seat/engine compartment (gas powered). Engine turns over very fast now with over 2000 cca, how many amps would work and still turn it over fast. I can fit 2 small car batteries in the space which is 19" by 8.75". I don't want to spend $300+ on AGM batteries.
    Thanks for any info.

I just use 2 of the elcheapo batteries you get down at the local parts store for mine, something like 600cca's each. 540in chevy 14-71 HHR. Spins over like the plugs are out. I guess it depends on what your turning over. I have a block starter. I use a SMV and never had any issues with cranking speed. I did find that if you have a very good quality starter that make all the difference.

    My 2 cents
