when you have a dry sump, does anybody use the fittings with the debris screens on them for the scavange side ? if so, where do you get them? any particular mesh size for thick oil?

    Dry sump screens

I use them and like them alot. I bought some moroso ones where the screen is epoxied into a normal fitting.

    NITROBANDIT1,

My dry sump setup has non removable screens in the four pan exit connections. The four lines then go to four scavenge pump stages and then through a System-1 filter. From the filter to a 9 quart reservoir.

    Hope this helps. Joe

An inline on the scavenge line is a must, keep debris out of the pump. I personally believe Peterson makes the best oiling products and they have a scavenge filter setup that would work very well for you. On our car we run 100 micron on the scavenge, 75 micron on the main filter, and 100 micron on the tank return line.

I agree with Brandon we also use Petterson 90° scavenge filters right at the pan very large filter unlike the small cone filter in the fitting

    Hose fittings for tight clearance

Besides the screen issue, what is anyone using for oil line fittings when you have very little room and clearance issues both on the pan and the pump? I saw a Facebook page for some low clearance AN fittings, "JM Tite Fittings", is anyone using them? Looks interesting.

    Thanks
    Chris

    filter

System 1 does not recommend a scavenge filter for their pumps.

    Screens VS Filters

At which micron does a "screen" become a "filter"? I always thought a screen caught the big pieces and a filter caught the little particles. Just saying.

I looked on Fragola's web site and do not see anything similar to the Tite Fitting. Any idea where you saw it?

Looks like a nice fitting. Would make the diaper fit better for sure.
