Hi all, dont deal with this person (or who ever he is - calls himself Charles and Kathleen Harris from Clarksville) as he has just stolen US$540 from me for a BBC blower manifold that he never had. Dont use money transfers and stick to Paypal etc for some comfort.

    Thief

Hi guys, I placed a wanted add on Drag Parts .com for a manifold, my misfortune was not related to this site, I just wanted people to be aware that there are arseholes out there that will rip you off if they get the chance. This was the third fraudulent attempt and I fell for it. Now I have no manifold and no money !!

Thanks for sharing, guess the lesson here is stick with the ONLY site you can easily ask questions - publicly - of a seller, who knows them, are they safe to deal with etc etc

Thanks Will for the greatest site

I only buy parts from guys on here that everyone seems to know. Then review dealings with others. every one so far has been upstanding.
    Just saying.

    Buying Parts Online

I am guessing that Dragparts is a free listing site? I have never used that site. Does it have a "technical" questions area where other racers can post helpful suggestions and give advise and does it have a "scams" section where you could have asked for references on the seller like ITA does?

Dragparts (or Good Vibrations) is a great shop for fuel injection parts etc and has a readers section where you can post items for sale or wanted. There appears to be a lot of people scamming now as I had several people try to sell stuff they never had. The suggestion of having the person hold the part in front of them and take a photo of them with the part (and time stamped) is a good one. Drag parts have taken note of this arsehole but who knows what his/ her real name is
