Ok big question. Who has had the best luck with there tag trailer. Who has had bad luck? I'm in the market for a trailer and was thinking of getting all aluminum one this time. 30-32 ft. Is it worth the bucks for extra tall and wide. What about the new spread axle designs I'm seeing. Can you load em down like a triple axle. Thanks for the info.

6000 or 7000 lb. axles are a must...they use 16" tires....stay away from 15" tires and 5200 lbs axles whether you get a 2 or 3 axle trailer....the extra height is very nice for taller upper cabinets...seems like you always end up carrying more stuff than you originally plan....an extra foot of height should give you some extra storage space...and if you are like me and have a tall wing then you will not hafta drop the wing to load and unload....the taller height will also give you a longer rear door and therefor a longer ramp to load....all of these cars are very low to the ground....better resale on taller trailers and heavier axles....I just upgraded to a T & E and am very happy...PM me for contact info to discuss options and features....

    Best trialer

    Hi,

I have an older featherlite from 1998 32 ft and tall and I have made a lot of mods. The one thing I will recommend doing is a brake upgrade. Over here in Denmark I had to do a lot of brake mods to get it licensed. I converted it from vacuum over hydraulic to air over hydraulic brakes and mounted a brake valve that adjusts the brake pressure to the load on the trailer.

The load valve is the best bang for the bug by far, I really can not understand why it was not there from the beginning.

I dont think that any trailer manufactures has the adjustable brake valve from factory, but if someone does I would add that as a must on the wish list

I wouldn't buy an aluminum pop rivit from Gold Rush after they bogarted T&E's web site address several years ago. I guess they didn't feel like they could stand on their own name so they took T&E's domain name instead. When you would type in T&E's web site address it would take you to Gold Rush's web site. I called Earl on it and he was not too happy with GR. Later it appears they finally did the right thing and let it go.

Todd and Earl build the best aluminum trailers...period. And they hold their value.

At that length, go with a triple axle. The ride is much more forgiving on the vehicle, tools, and everything inside. JW
