Replacing 500 watt flood lights on trailer

What do you guys use instead of halogen lights on your trailer for the work area ?

 

12 volt LEDs. I have 3. They come in a variety of watts....run very cool....nice white light.....and you have to have the generator running to have them on. They are small enough that I mounted them right to the side of the trailer (without the box). They don't stick out any more than my awning. I bought mine on e-bay. Truck supply vendors also have them.

 

I was wondering this same thing. You see a lot of pro pits now have a blue haze from the lights now. I assumed they were LED but you can't really find anything on them. Led run with 1/2 the power too so I hole a few people chime in on this

They aren't cheap but you only need two. They are BRIGHT and take no power to run.

 

I just ordered two 6" LED bars and one 12" bar for my 38' trailer. 6" on each end and the 12" right in the middle over the car. It's better than having 3- 500 watt lights loading the generator.
