Lengthening a blower snout

    i want to lengthen my blower snouts, does anyone make a coupler and shaft that I could use on the inside of a Littlefield Snout or Kobelco snout?

    I have a 1.5 spacer and coupler that is RCD, I got it from RBS

    snout

    how long do you need. I made one a few years back and have it in the rafters.

    ok... i'm curious... when you say 'lengthen' your blower snouts are you talking about cutting/adding material/rewelding the outer snout and then adding a longer shaft?

    or am I way off in how i'm reading the original post?

    and any pics of anything that's been done like this would be very interested in seeing

    Pulley spacers

    I have a couple of pulley spacers if you are looking for like 1" to 1.5" or so, I can measure them.

    I think Policy Peddler is talking about taking his short (approx. 6") snout and bolting in a 5" extension. I've wondered the same thing and contemplated building my own.

    Do you have any experience doing this?

    blower snout

    I went from a 6" to 7" snout and ended up machining 2 of the spacers sold by RBS to get the right length. No problems so far !
