best burndown hose?

I thought i was on to something last week. I found a hose @ home depot to use as burndown hose. It was flexable, and light. Well, it turns out it's a no go, it folds over at speed.

What are you guys using for burndown hose? I had re-enforced vinyl hose on it before, but it was yellow & hard after a few years of use. I like it as it stayed round, but you almost couldn't get it on or off unless you parked the car in the sun.
