When mounting the pulley on the blower snout, does it matter :

Cup over snout or Cup facing fwd with the bolts inside the cup

    ?????????????

Cup over snout means forces are in line with your bearings.
Cup facing fwd introduces an additional bending moment on the shaft and thuse creates additional stress on bearings and shaft.

Never took the effort to calculate how much and if it would be acceptable. Just installed a longer snout and a snout support to keep the front cover in one piece.

Not sure if there have been failures related to backwards pulley. I did it on a Littlefield 14/71, 40 percent over on a 1/8th mile drag car, ran it a couple years.

While i've never done it, i've seen a few cars that way @ local tracks. Looks odd, but seems to work.
