WHATS EVERYONE USE FOR A SHUTOFF SWITCH?
I'D PREFER NOT TO USE AIR OR A RELAY, HEARD THE MALLORY PUSH-PULL SWITCH WILL WORK

Why do you not want to use a relay. MSD has a new special one that has lots of insulation to handle 44 amps just for that purpose. It is simple and works great.

I think that the mallory (red button) switch is fraught with problems- the small SAE? is the better switch.

MSD has a new solonoid available that can be used with a toggle switch that works well. I have used
it. Theonly thing is if you are using dual 44 amp
mags you must use two of them to isolate the timing boxes. They are only about 40 dollars each
and can actually be bought at your local parts house for less. They are a normally closed sol.
which requires no current flow when in the off position. However don't leave on as it will drain your batt.
If you are using a six shooter just use a good toggle switch to power up the six shooter. The mags will not fire if s.s. is not on. I am currently using this method which MSD said was fine.
The Mallory 50 amp switch will cause you problems.

I'D PREFER NOT TO USE A RELAY, IF POSSIBLE, JUST TO KEEP THE WIREING SIMPLE

I also have an SAE switch but I've been using a ground wire to start the car and just hitting the fuel shut off to stop it because I was told that the switch could do damage. Running a super mag IV. What does the switch do to damage the mag, coil?
