dana 60 strong enuff??

    i bought a car with a dana 60 rear 5.13 gear with 35spline strange axles? im going to be running a 526veney hemi making approx 2000hp will weigh 2400with driver running 33/16-15tires ,will this rearend take that much hp or am i in for trouble?

    You'll be fine. 5.13 gear does have a small pinion, but you should be okay there as well.

    as far as i know,the dana 60 used to be standard stuff in funny car,some time ago.i have a logghe chassis to prove it.it is mounted solid with floater axles.

    My Dana 60 has been in my funnycar since 77 and we've run a best of 6.43 @ 216 and never any problems.
