Ring Gap on a Hemi

    Just freshening my Blown Hemi 511 KB Arias pistons Akerly & Childs xtreme rings.
    4.375 bore what Ring Gap should I be filling to.
    6.5 sec bracket car.

    .030 on the tops .028 on the 2nds

    now .030 on all..I had some problems when running .028..Dave

    Both of those sounds tight, they might work, but they might not. If you don't want to drag tight rings in the cylinder, and you don't, gap the top to 35 and the second 32. I run my rings at 40 and 35, doesn't seem to care.

    Ken I so agree with you we just decided to open them up more last season we had some or should I say alot of ring issues..going 40 top 35 2nd..Dave
