Cygnus data logger help

    Can anyone help me, i have purchased a car with a datalogger on board, if i open a flap on top of the computer there is a chip (i presume memory card) i do not know how to read the data or transfere it to a laptop or what program to use, ( THE CHIP SAYS CYGNUS DATA STAR, LA RACING 1048/1027 )

    The guy that builds them is Derry and his number used to be 707.226.1556. I haven't talked to him for a long time. Hope the number is still good.

    USA country code is 1. So it would be 0117072261556. Is that what you mean?

    We brought a earlier model data logger from him years ago, before the datastar was released,

    Details are

    Derry O'Donovan

    Pro Sport engineering Inc,

    Address 1090 La Londe lane, Napa, Ca 94558, america.

    He is based up in the Napa Wine valley just north of San Francisco

    Phone number is 707 - 226 - 1556.

    I tried finding an email address for him as i know i have one but, just cant find it at the moment, I keep looking cause its easrier for you when we live overseas.

    He used to also make Steel bellhousings before selling out to "Bowell bellhousings" a few years ago.

    Have not been in contact with him for several years.

    Howard Haight at one time was a rep. for cygnus maybe he could help you Check members list I think he is in there

    fast forward to 2018. there is no support or parts for this computer system anymore. it was shut down in 2009 and derry isn't doing these anymore. I do have a unit if anybody needs one for parts. dan

    I also have a antique system someone can have for the cost of shipping if not it is dumpster bound this week. Been moving it around the shop for years.
