    liberty

I know Taylor Lastor tried a Liberty behind a clutch when he first built his legal pro mod a few years back. Had problems with it and went to conventional Lenco set up.

I've seen one in a turbo car but I guess that information is useless for someone trying to go fast..lol.

Bruno told me not to use the Liberty on a blown car. Not strong enough.

    Moran never went 5.99 @ 3000lbs he did go 5.99 @ 2650-2700lb though.

Steve Summers has been 5.87 @ 257 with a bruno liberty and it has been flawless for him.

I guess Bruno was being cautious. I think his son runs a Bruno with a Liberty in Comp in NHRA.

They are rated for 3500 hp @ 3000 i have run one for many years with a 2400 hp sbc i have never broke anything inside. one big negative is if you have to pedal the car it can pop out of gear when there is no load on it.

thats a lot of power. I would think gutting it down to a 2spd would be a lot lighter than a CS2 lenco. I think they tend to stay in gear better with a converter drive if pedaled.
