has anyone used a trans cooling pump?

im looking at ways to help cool my trans fluid for next year. I have a 526cu in bbc which I had an 8-71 last 2 years looking to go to a 14-71 next year with a powerglide. im considering putting a tilton cooling pump inline with the cooler. has anyone does this? do you run the pump only in the pits? do you run it while the car is running also? does it even help?

 

We made one like Snyder motorsports sells. http://www.snydermotorsports.com/BC/bcacc.htm Works great! Kind of a pain hauling bags of ice around. Another one that works and doesn't use ice is www.koolsolutions.net It's pricey but convenient.

I actually bought the one Snyder uses from them. Not sure what it is exactly...but it's loud! lol...and rubber rotors, not sure on longevity.
