Is it possible to drill the base of a carbon injector for new mounting holes?

Is the base solid or is it a honeycomb structure?

Another solution is fab some kind of bracket that mounts to the rear studs and clamps the injector down.

I can't drill the blower as it is a r980 and the new holes would be right in the seam between the main case and the rear housing.

    Aluminum adapter plate

Before drilling the hat, you could make an aluminum adapter plate and years back, we made our restraint plates with hat holes positioned to align the hat on the blower, Jim frm TN
