We use that set up for our nostalgia nitro funny car.

Ours has a -6 male fitting welded to the stainless "straw", then we run a -6 braided line from there to the hat distribution block (with a 2-way shutoff half way to regulate fuel flow) to keep the rotors lubricated. Versus the single straw siphoning from an open 5gal jug where you're not lubricating the rotors.

Air regulator is plumbed into the top, we set ours to 15psi, works very well.

Anything at the hat is lubricating the rotors isn't it? The "Straw" method is pulled rite at the bottom of the hat!! ???????

No, I do not think it does. With the straw in pail deal its only feeding one spot on the rotors (most I've seen are at or near the back of the hat) and it isnt enough fuel. However if you send it thru the hat distribution block you are then feeding all of your regular nozzles up there and keeping the entire length of the rotors lubricated. In a couple extreme cases we have seen where the rotors didnt see enough fuel during the warmup they started to gall up on eachother. It also makes the strips last a bit longer we've found.

I'm not knocking anyone who does it with the straw and fuel pail, we've just seen some reasons not to, and feel this works better for us.

As I said its been several years but I seen to remember seeing Snow use a small bottle like nitrogen regulated to make a push system. Again been years so I may be wrong.
