injector/adapter for r980?

Hello

I am in the process of setting up a r980 whipple for next year.

What injector is usually used on these blowers. I was planing to use a buzzard bran door injector.
But it won't work without some kind of adapter for 2 reasons: There is no room for the k valve. And the opening in the injector is too big for the opening in the blower. see pictures. How is this normally corrected?

The R980 takes the smaller opening injector, and sometimes they offset them to clear the barrel valve.
you could fab a spacer-adapter.
Newberry used to make a offset plate, I had one that adapted to a psi injector

Sune, I just used a tall carbon fiber top fuel style hat and just bolted it on and all cleared good! I will send you a picture-THANKS! Jim from TN

Sune, i just bought a hat for my psi and it came with the Newbury adapter i can't say for sure it will work for you but based on the previous comments you may want to look into it and let me know if it will work for you.

Do you have some pics and a price?

 

My buzzard has a plate put in the back to make the opening smaller an its angled to change the air flow in the hat.i can take some pics but not sure how to put them on here.also you need the longer shaft in the hat an the offset that moves the barrel valve off the side like 3 inches.636 345 7141 .i can text pics if someone can put them up
