what ratio does a nostalgia funny car or nitro fuel altered run? I understand most alky fc run a 4.30 or 4.10, how high can a nitro car go?

No gear rule in NFC. Most are running between 4.10 and 4.56.

 

The majority of those run a 4.10

 

It depends on the rest of your set up like fuel system, clutch set up transmision gearing and timing. Some teams run a 4:30 or 4:56 to get the rpms up quicker to get up on the fuel pump. The 21 gpm NF/C pump is flowed at 4000 rpm(8000 engine rpm), any higher rpm is more fuel.

so does that mean theoretically that a nostalgia funny car on nitro with a small 671 blower makes about the same horsepower as a alky funny car?

 

By the ETs and mph I'd say there were pretty close.

 

I agree with Slayer on the HP-comparision and as with the ratios.

A slight diff in weight though: Top Alcohol FC 2400lbs and Nostalgia FC 2250lbs, if I remember this right..?
