    aprox

in the 1/4 youshouldhave a 2.20 back half
    meaning you run a 6.60 at 3300lbs makes 2268hp
    at 2700 lb 2268 hp is a 6.17

[it is correct providing you can get the car to hook and go down the track[/QUOTE]

I've run from 2900 to 2430 lbs and al lot depends on how good your car 60fts now. We could go 1.02 at 2900 and we go sub 1.00 now with less weight and more power but the gains get a lot harder. The lighter car has all the advantage early in the run but that's also where all the smarts come into play getting it downtrack.

My best 60' is 108, normal is 110 to 113. So the lighter the car the harder to get it down the track w/the same power ???

With those sixty foots you can make some huge gains. The lighter car can be trickier to some extent but IMO when the 60ft gets sub 1 second the combo really has to work right and the conditions become critical.
If you have the power you could go from 1.10 to .99 reasonably at 2700lbs. That will show a big number on the board.
I went from 1.02 to .99 with the weightloss so I didn't have as much room to gain big numbers. 4.19 to 3.95 was the result but it was huge effort to get there.

1/8 mile door car racing-ET expectations?

What do most people use for a rule of thumb on a 2500# door car or ProMod? Many say that 100#s will get you a second on the 1/4 mile and many say .05 to .06 in the 1/8 mile? I have see those numbers work until you get close to the 4.00s and then it gets much much harder? THANKS!

    100#s for a tenth

I really think the 100#s loss was meant to mean a tenth of a second in inceased ET for a 1/4 mile track-THANKS!
