What is considered the strongest blower belt? How short of a belt do they make? What does one of them typically weigh? Got a weird project coming up that Im wanting to use 2 pulleys and a belt on thanks.

    good to hear lol

I know those blower belts got to be in a bind on those PSI screws so I'm figuring they are also strong enough to run a lite weight mud trucks front driveline off of.....

Scot, how long do you think a screw blower belt lasts. Around 14 runs on a FC and 3-7 runs on a ProXtreme. If you go up on RCD engineering website you can get a good idea of the belts that are available and prices.

Scott , the dirt , environment , etc is a bigger factor than the HP factor ---try looking at a Gates website for industrial applications --

I normally just read all of the pointers on here since I run a class 6 NMRO car, but I can tell you that Jim Powers has done the belt drive thing with luck and saved a lot of weight. But remember our cars front ends hardly ever see high loads except after we lift.
