Blower Starter to Pulley Space

    how much space is their suppose to be between the two jaws
    of the blower starter and pulley

    when screwing in blower starter jaw till it stops
    how close/space should it be ?
    mine is about a strong 1/8" of space, did not know if it should be closer

    Ours is about 3/16" and when screwed all the way in, its bottomed out.

    thats what i needed to know
    when i screw mine in all the way i have a 1/8" space

    space

    just enough to clear the drive dogs after the engine starts and kick the starter back
