What wheel and tire combo are people using on a roots blown small block combination.

    235"wheelbase 1550# rear engine dragster. 671 on a 355 SBC 23 degree heads.

just kind of putting this together looking for some info so I can gather some parts over the winter. Thanks for the space ITA

we run a 355 and we have 12" x 32.5 tires on a 225"wb red, we have 1.09 60' leaving @ 1600 rpm, most people tend to go to a tire too large and it will eat up a lot of tourqe when you run a small engine, One of the keys is to get the car up on the tire as quickly as possible, a smaller tire will allow this , our combination is simple . 520 lift cam, iron RHS heads, diamond 12cc pistons, 11.5 -1 comp, 671 GMC blower, stock power glide case & gears, we run 7 teens @ 180 + @ 3400ft elev. Don't get caught up with large cams , tires, and stuff work the fuel system properly and it will run. We have a local guy who bought into large cam , big alum heads, mag ignition, fancy blower, low comp, doesn't run worth sht. barely will run 7.80. Run a proper pump and service the fuel system properly along with proper setup they can run with most of them, a good ignition like 7AL2 and a good starter are just some of the keys. for more info just ask.

I have a 402 sbc with a 14/71 on it we go .94 60`all day long.We run the new Mickey Thompson 34 13.5-16 they work great. Not sure what size rim you have but these work great. Yes don't buy into needing a huge tire its over rated
