has anyone ever taken weld alumistar wheels and had them converted to a bead lock or double bead lock? any suggestions of this should be done and why? im running a top sportsman 526 blown big block chevy. been running 7.50's this year. looking to step up the blower a bit and clean up the tuneup and get down to 7.20s. ive been 187mph already. is a double beadlock better for permormance? can it be done since my wheels have already been screwed? are the screws good enough for what im running?

$1165.38 which included return shipping. Add $50 to get them out there.

great. thank you. would there be a benefit for my car to do this other than the appearance of the wheel? would it make my car safer? more consistent? ability to change tires on my own?

Just to be safe I would look into tube and liners or beadlocks. Do your current wheels have sfi stickers ? I dont think screws like tire shake.

I sent mine to champion if I remember right. We ran 16-33-15 hoosier's...6.30's blown BBC with 3 spd lenco. The beadlocks helped with tire shake, but going to the 17-34.5 16 funny car hoosiers with 16" beadlocks helped more.

I believe they have sfi stickers on them. Not positive. They are weld aumistars about 4 yrs old. They are just screwed at the time being running hoosie 33x16 i think is the size on a 15x15 wheel. I also think the. Backspacing is about 4 1/2. Ive dealt with alot of tire shake this year. But we changed the 4 link at our last test session and finally saw some better results. I am trying to figure out if it will be beneficial for me to have mine done. The budget will be kind of tight so im not sure if ill be able to get it done or how high of a priority i should make it
