disassembling my superman and found the shaft broken at the rear of the rotor.
is it repairable / reasonably or should i just replace them both...they are not k11.and these shafts look like the smaller one with sleeves over them to fit the good seals and bearings. Don't need to be perfect, just dependable.,,anyone remember roots??

Hey Bill, Sorry to hear about the blower problems.

If I remember correctly the rotor o.d. is bigger on the k9 and k11 units so if yours was a k8 then you may not be able to upgrade without boring the case ($$$) I would definitely call either Darren at DMPE or Fowler if they are the current owners of the Kobelco rights. Fowler's pricing would probably be a little bit better. I remember the roots. If you do end up looking for another blower the SSI d rotors on up make great bang for the buck, also the latest PSI roots are starting to become available for decent prices and make great power as well, those are comparable to the Superman/DMPE units depending on overdrives.

Sorry I couldn't help more my friend,

    Kevin cantell

I would try Kevin he specializes in screw blowers but i am sure he is just as sharp with the roots applications as well and his prices are very good
